The Face of A Girl Who Survived.

…As the year I spent more hours glued to my computer screen than I did living.

…As the year I fought harder for myself than I ever have before.

…As the year I found a best friend – a soulmate – a kindred spirit at 25.

…As the year that resurected the pen-pal in the most impressive way.

…As the year that pushed me far beyond any imaginable boundary I had constructed.

…As the year I lost my sister.

…As the year we moved to Denver.

…As the year my husband was accepted to Medical School.

…As the year my beautiful niece Lyla Starr was born.

…As the year I took 33 credit hours, and got straight As.

sis… lovely. 33 credits and straight A’s?!?!?! DAMN GIRL!!!! I’m so impressed – not because straight A’s means everything in the world but because I know how hard you worked and how your soul was put into school this year. It’s been a big year. Celebrate with some sun. And next year – at this time – hop on a plane with Cait to basque in this little place we like to call paradise 😉

Only a Bako girl would be able to pull out a confusion with bask/basque. Other people would say “Basque?!?! What the heck is that?”

‘Bask’ is what you meant. But perhaps ‘Basque’ is what your little belly wants (: (Because I know mine does… but it also wants to bask in the sunlight on the beach in HI.)
